The Significance of the number 7 in the Holy Bible.

Dear Friends,

    I would like to share with you the significance of the number 7 in the Holy Bible, which I gave a sermon on this topic in a Church. It will be more informative and a 

strength to our spirituality.
The Day 7 is resting day in Creation:

      God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it God rested from all his work that he had done in creation. (Gen: 2:2,3.) God had created everything on Earth and Heavens with in 6 days. So the number 7 became so significance in the Bible as Sabbath.  The number 7 is used in the Bible around 735 times.

The Fall of Jericho: 
        Joshua 6:4, The Lord had commanded to Joshua to capture Jericho," Seven priests shall bear seven trumpets of rams" hornsbefore the ark.  on the seventh day you shall march around the city seven times, and the priests shall blow the trumpets. Finally they conquered Jericho.
Naaman healed of Leprosy: 
     The God's Prophet Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying "Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and you shall be clean" It made him to restore like the flesh of a little child and he was clean.
In the New Testament, Peter asked Jesus, Lord, how often will my brother sin against me , and I forgive him? As many as seven times?" Jesus said to Peter, " I do not say to you seven times, but seventy times seven" ( St.Matt 18: 21,22)  Seven is used in Revelation 64 times.  It is the revelation of Jesus Christ, which god gave to John.  He writes to seven churches, and mentions about Seven Golden Lampstands, Seven Stars,Seven thunders, Seven Angels,  Seven Plagues Seven tourches of fire, seven spirits of God, seven seals, seven eyes, Seven Bowls and  seven trumpets. 
Jesus' Seven words on the Cross:
  The number seven is highly signifiant value in the Bible.  It has spritual power that we have to remind and follow the word of living God. Amen.

முன்னுரை: கிறித்துவின் அன்பு இறை மக்களே!  மாணவர் (Student) என்பவர் முதன் மையாக ஒரு பள்ளி அல்லது பிற கல்வி நிறுவனத்தில் கல்வி பயி லும் ஒருவரைக் குறிப்பதாகும். மாணவர்" என்பவர் மேல்நிலைப் பள்ளிகள் மற்றும் மேற்படிப்பு களில் (எ.கா., கல்லூரி அல்லது பல்கலைக்கழகம் ) சேர்ந்தவர் களைக் குறிக்கிறது; Students can be children, teenagers, or adults who are going to school, but it may also be other people who are learning, such as in college or university. இவர்களுக் காக நம் திருச்சபை ஒரு ஞாயிற்று கிழமையை மாணவர் ஞாயிறு ஆக கொண்டாடிவருகிறது. ஞானம் என்பது,"அறிவு ,அனுபவம் , புரிதல் ,பொதுஅறிவு நுண்ண றிவு ஆகியவற்றைப் பயன்படுத்தி சிந்தித்து செயலாற்றும் திறனே ஞானம் எனப்படும். கிறிஸ்தவ இறையியல் பழைய ஏற்பாட்டில் ஞானம் (ஹீப்ருமொழி யில் சோக்மா) என்றும்   கிரேக்க மொழியில் ஞானம் ( சோபியா ) என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறது. இது  பிளாட்டோனிசத்திலிருந்து பெற்றது .
